We have all been struck by the images of devastation in Illinois, Indiana and Iowa caused by recent flooding. In response, Unum has taken these steps to address the needs of our customers in the impacted areas.
- Benefit payments: If you are receiving benefits and need your checks sent to an alternate address, we can have your check rerouted or automatically deposited in your bank account.
- Premium payments: If you are a plan administrator or individual policyholder who is unable to make premium payments, don't be concerned about keeping your coverage active. Unum has established a grace period from May 30 through Aug. 31 for these payments, and no policies will be terminated during this time.
